The obligation to sell the exporter’s foreign exchange income to the CBRT is increased to 40 percent.

CBRT President Şahap Kavcıoğlu met with TİM President Gülle and export representatives.

Gülle made a statement on her social media account, “We held the 2nd consultation meeting of this year with the participation of Kavcıoğlu. At the meeting also attended by our Union Presidents, we discussed many issues such as export data for the first quarter of 2022 and the effects of regional problems on exports.” said.

On the other hand, exporters expressed their intention to increase the obligation of companies to sell their export revenues to the CBRT from 25 percent to 40 percent.

When calculated on an average monthly export of 20 billion dollars, 25 percent means 5 billion dollars of sales to the Central Bank, while the figure will reach 8 billion dollars when the rate rises to 40 percent.
