According to the data of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), new automobile sales in the European Union and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) decreased by 19 percent in March compared to the same month of the previous year.

Automobile sales in Spain, Italy, Germany and France, the four largest markets of the European Union, decreased by 17.5 percent in Germany and 30.2 percent in Spain.
